Look-Narm is my nick-name.

My full name is Ariya Aruninta.

I am the author of Landscape Architectural Design and Construction Technology, a co-publication of Chulalongkorn University Press (Thailand) and Alpha Sci (UK). I was graduated the Bachelor in Landscape Architecture from Chulalongkorn University. Then I was employed as a project landscape architect in Suan Luang Rama IX King Park Foundation. In 1987, I went studying abroad in the USA at Department of Landscape Architecture, University of Colorado at Denver. I spent another one year being an intern at Design Workshop, Inc. In 1989, I went back to Thailand to work as a landscape architect  at  Public Works Department. My works there involved park design and large scale planning. The most outstanding project is Queen Suriyothai Memorial Park.

I received the doctorate degree from AIT. My PhD dissertation was awarded an outstanding research prize from NRCT – The National Research Council of Thailand.

Recently, I am a faculty staff at Department of Landscape Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, and head of HeaL-BiP - Healthy Landscape and Biophilic Planning Research Unit. I am also a former deputy director of Chulalongkorn University, Social Research Institute - CUSRI and was appointed by the Prime Minister of Thailand to be one of the five honorable board members of Thailand’s Council of Architects and have served several National level Committees, especially being the secretariat member of sub-committee of The Environment and Urban Planning Reform in The National Reform Council.

I have been representing TALA - Thai Association of Landscape Architects in IFLA council for many years since 2007 and chaired 2011 IFLA APR Congress in Bangkok.
